Subject: RE: Map UpdatesThe Route Tracker uses Google maps, so there should be no difference between the two. We don't store the maps on BT, they go from Google to your computer. All we store is the route information. I suppose it's possible that you have an older version of some of the map tiles cached on your computer. You could try clearing your browser cache, then viewing the route and seeing if that updates the map tiles.
If that doesn't work, can you give me an example of a route in your log where the map images don't match what's displayed by Google Maps?
This is assuming, of course that you mean Google Maps and not Google Earth. Those are two different applications that use different sets of images. How and when those images are updated relative to each other is decided at Google based on their contracts with the companies that actually provide the images as well as satellite trajectories, weather conditions and I'm sure a whole host of conditions that require an advanced degree in Rocket Surgery to understand.
