started up front and went out pretty hard. pack sorted out after about a mile and there was really no one around after that. the front runners were way ahead and i had a decent gap on the group behind. i was happy with my pace and just tried not to blow up at the end.

short rant:
it was annoying that it started late. we got there in plenty of time to check-in, warm up, and line up. then they make us wait around and freeze for 10+ minutes while the late comers register. that's what chip timing is for. they can leave whenever they're ready.
