code for monthly totals?

This may be a way too complex request, but I was wondering if there was any link/html code for the report that gives you monthly totals?  If it were possible, I would be interested in being able to insert a link to the month total # that would update automatically in my Goals section (by discipline) so I have a # for progress in challenges without having to manually change that through Control Panel each time I log a workout.  (see Ironman Challenge in my Training Log)

Far fetched, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask!
