Changing Avatar pic

I just browsed to a new pic, hit "go" and it won't load overtop of my old pic.  The window shows "success" at the top but nothing changed.  I tried deleting the old pic first, and also hit the "submit" button afterward in case I needed to.  I tried all these things about 25 times and still only my old pic is displayed.

Edit: The old pic shows my son standing to my right.  If anothe pic is shown, then I figured something out.

Edit2: I seem to be able to remove the old pic.  But when I browse to the new one and load it, the old pic still shows.
