Just a Short Race - Run

Comments: It was a good run. At times I think I slowed down to help pace myself but in reality it probably wasn't neccesary. I could have run faster but I think this races was more nerves. Its been awhile since my last 5K. All in all it was good. I thought I would be a lot better on the flat sections. Given that I have no choice but to train oh hills b/c of my house. I did well on the hill and soared past quite a few people on the downhill What would you do differently?: Run harder, faster, and take off the jacket even though it was cold. Don't take GU unless u know there is a water station close ![]() Post race
Warm down: grabin food, no real cooldown, just walked around a little What limited your ability to perform faster: I think the wory of hurting myself or reaggrivating the shinsplints, I really had nothing to worry about, Event comments: I did it my 1st 5K of the year and 1st in a long time. Got up at 5 am. Took a long shower and decided what to wear. It was chilly this morning but still opted to wear tights and dedicide at the race to wear them or not,
Food: GU, PB on WW, and Accelerade. Lots of water. Too much maybe
Stretched quite a bit before the race, kept warm in the car b/c we got there so early.
