Subject: Road bike with areo bars?
I have a road bike that i love. One day I want a tri bike I love. I was wondering if I could make a slow transition from road to tri. I was thinking I could buy areo bars, race wheels and use them on my road bike and one day buy a tri frame and move every thing from my road bike to the tri bike. I am growing ( @ the age of 20) and dont want to buy another frame until I am done. I have grown about an inch, inch and a half since i bought my bike. If it keeps up the bike will not fit me( under the assumption that is still dose). I want to buy shinny areo bars but will I be able to buy them, put them on my road bike and then fit them to a tri bike after a year or two? I know I could buy clip-ons but I just want to buy a good set once and be done with it? Can I bring the components ( dura-ace) from my road frame to a tri frame? Is it coast effective? Should I just shut up and ride my bike? LOL? Any suggestions?

You will be able to reuse your clip on aerobars on a new Tri frame and base bar. Your components might not be so easy. The bar-end shifters present on most tri bikes might not work with your current component set. Perhaps someone else can speak to that.
