How should one align blood donations with training and events? I'm sure that I don't want to donate right before an event! Are there some rules I should follow...any help is appreciated.
I did some research on this. Basically, if you are going to donate blood, do it at least 4-8 weeks before any races. You can train as this will actually speed your "recovery" along (producing more RBCs). Just don't overdo it.
