Subject: Looking for people to interview
I'm new to this forum (but not to triathlons), and I'm hoping I might find some volunteers for me to interview for a story I'm doing related to endurance sports. I'm a journalist working in Chicago this summer on a website aimed at twenty-something college grads, mostly in larger cities and of diverse backgrounds (esp people born in the US whose parents were born overseas). I'm working on a story about people who make a dramatic change in their lives by deciding they want to live differently--more healthy--and begin training for a tri (or marathon or other endurance activity). My purpose is to illustrate how some people make a decision to change their lives by leaving behind old habits and getting into "the best shape of their lives."

So... if your experience seems relevant to my story, and you're willing to be interviewed, could you please shoot me a direct message?  I'm hoping eventually to do photo slideshows with taped audio interviews.

Thanks!
Tara

Tara- this was posted this morning.  Not sure if the OP would want to chat, but it's incredibly inspirational and I think just what you are looking for.  Username is at the bottom and thread title is "My new tri website...."

Good luck with your article!
Hi:

I just wanted to share my new tri website.  People I've showed it to really like it and say it is very inspirational, etc.  So I thought I would share it on here since this is my home triathlon site.  :-)

Thanks for looking if you did. :-)  Please tell me if you have navigational problems or see bad typos.
