Subject: Single Sport Taper Week
This week I am doing an OW swim race, and need to taper for it. However, I'm also still doing bike and run training for future events. How should I taper for a single event? Do I just taper my swim, or also taper my bike and run workouts?

Personally, I would taper all training.  The point of a taper isn't just to rest the muscle groups that you'll use in your upcoming race, it's also to rest your entire body and make sure that your energy reserves are at 100%.  For myself, if I continued training other sports in your situation, I would end up going into the race a little tired, and not perform to full potential.
