Did anybody do Verdun and time themselves from start to finish ?

I am seeing something very strange. All my splits are exactly as the official numbers except the swim. My watch says I am 30 seconds faster and overall 30 seconds faster

It's like if the 'official' clock started 30 seconds before they blew the horn. This is unthinkable but I can't figure out what happened.

It's impossible that I started my watch 30 seconds too late or stopped it 30 seconds early. I couldn't start it late, I was swimming. I didn't touch it 30 seconds before the finish line and if I would have, the running splits would have been wrong.

If my watch was inaccurate, by bike and run splits would be off.

All other splits are identical, including my calculation of transitions

Very strange.

If you know someone that did Verdun, ask them

thx

Je comprends autant les reponses en Francais :-)

I think I figured it out.

Probably caused by oxygen starvation to the brain of the person operating the watch
