Subject: Stem Extender or Adapter
I need to raise my handlebars (I can't afford a new bike right now).   I see ads for stem extender and stem extender adapters, what is the difference?

You can raise your bars several ways. First is to place more spacers under the stem thus raising the stem on the fork tube. The other is to find a stem that has a higher rise angle. Another option is an adjustable stem like this:
