My upcoming local Sprint race provides a great opportunity to come "Tri the Course" exactly one week before the actual race day. Although I've already been out on the bike and run courses I know this is an opportunity I want to take advantage (if only to benifit from going through T1 & T2).

My question is, what level of intensity should I do during the "Tri the Course" day? I had planned on going out pretty hard to test myself (90-95% let's say), but now I'm second guessing that. I do plan on tappering the week before the race and this will be my last hard workout.

I've done that before and for a sprint if you're in good shape going in no reason not to push yourself a bit one week prior. You can get in some good recharge workouts in the days after and taper perfectly up to your race.
