Racing in speedsuit?

Below is the only thread I found about speedsuits, and I was wondering if anyone actually raced in their speedsuit instead of taking it off. I went on a 15mi. bike with just it the other day and it didn't seem to bad (though it wasn't wet). I was kind of thinking about wearing only it for a sprint, leaving it on over my tri-shorts or wearing just it for an oly, and stripping it off for a half. What do you guys think? I think I can race a sprint with just it on, but is leaving it on over the tri-shorts a really bad idea? (I'm of course going to try it out anyways, but I was just curious if anyone else was doing it and I don't want to spend any more money at the moment to get a tri-suit)
