I'm not new to BT, but I am new to Kansas City. Just moved from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Kansas City (Lenexa). I used to live here about 15 years ago, but that was pre-fitness era for me. I'll have to check out the local running / tri groups and get to know some locals around here.

Welcome to (back) KC. There are a bunch of BT'ers here in KS and in KCMO floating around here.
There are a few good area races, among them being the KC Triathlon in May and the KS 70.3 in Lawrence, KS. Also, some good tri clubs in the Kansas City area - KC Multisport, Tri KC, and Tri4Him.
