I have worn a Livestrong band for over a year now.  I started wearing it when my dear mother in law was diagnosed.  She lost her battle in June, and now it is a reminder of a wonderful life taken way too early.  Maybe my dollar will be the one that finds a cure to this horrible viscous disease.

Hmmm … melancholy with a twist of hope.

Sorry for your loss. My hope is that someday people are going to look back and say, “I can’t believe it took them that long to cure cancer.”

I know that it doesn't help now, but your (and everyone else's) dollar is.
