This has been my best run time as of right now, November 21. I thought it was a good run and the hills were not too challenging. There was only one real tough section, but after that I was in good shape. Of all the races I have been in, I sprinted the last 1/4 mile and really did well on my time. I had quite a few people pass me midway through the race, but I then passed them later and felt a sense of accomplishment. I like the fact that I could see the finish line a good 1/4 mile before the finish so that I could gauge how much energy I could use up for the end of my run.

Start slower and work my pace up in the middle and end.

This, by far, has been the most organized and well run race that I have competed in this season. A big plus was having a local WLS radio guy, John Williams, announce the names of most of the finishers at the end of the race. I wish I knew this beforehand so that I could take off my headphones to hear my name...but I did get to hear my wife's name and a lot of students who were behind me.
