Subject: Anyone have a MIDI keyboard for their Mac?

We got the Imac G5 last week, and it's awesome. Now we are looking to get a MIDI keyboard for it that Nola can use to start learning piano. Does anyone have any experience with them, or with piano education software for kids? We're going to start her on lessons at some point (she wants to), but we thought this would be a good way to get her interested.

CompUSA has this: http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=314528&pfp=SEARCH

I have a very similar midi keyboard and although I don't have a Mac the functions are the same.  I enjoyed using it, but for learning I don't think it's the best.  I know nothing about piano or chord voicings or whatever they call it so I had problems using mine.  If you are looking for something for Nola to learn on you might try this:

It's the Casio LK-45.  The keys light up to let you know which keys to hit.  If I had it to do over again I would probably get this or a similar model.  It has the MIDI ins and outs (which is all I really needed at the time and can be used on its own as well.  IMO the best bang for your buck.

I couldn't really recommend anything as far as software, but I'm sure there is some good basic stuff out there.
