Remember to bring my socks, gels, and bars with me rather than having to purchase them at the race. Oops. Post race
Warm down: Ate a banana, drank water and had a amino vital recovery bar. [Citrus flavor was not terribly appetizing but I was hungry]. Drank 2 beers in the Beer Garden and met up with Mike and some friends that did the 5K. I wouldn't normally drink beer immediately afterwards but they were offering Bass so it was hard to turn down. What limited your ability to perform faster: I'm very happy with my performance. The weather was perfect, the event was well organized and I finished strong. I think I finally ran a race the correct way with a strong negative split so I have no complaints. I'm sure some speed work would help the overall pace but this was a C race with the main event coming in April in Arizona. Event comments: This is a well organized and fun race. Woke up at 5. Ate a Cliff Bar. Consumed 2.5 24oz. bottles of water between 5 and race start at 7. Used restroom 15 minutes before race start.
None. Debating between long or short sleeves. : )
