Felt good considering the long ride. My buddies were hurting and it slowed me down a little bit.

Time is approximate. The group was trying to decide whether to run the torch the last stretch or continue on the bikes.

Our group was behind schedule so I pushed it hard on the bike from Thoreau to Prewitt. I eased up after Prewitt because of other teammates who hadn't had a chance to ride yet. last half was fairly casual.

I slowed down for other team members who wanted to participate, which is not an issue for this type of event. I think we achieved our goals and had a lot of fun.


It was a relay by law enforcement to promote and raise money for special olympics, but another agency stated that they could cover more miles than mine, so "the race was on." I participated bike/run, so activites are reverse of what is listed above. I was one of the coordinators, which had its headaches, but it was real rewarding when it all came together.
