spent about 1/2 swimming breast stroke. Constantly looking around to ensure I was on course.
What would you do differently?:

Need more practice in open water. Need to spend more time swimming freestyle in murky water

Slow run due to exhaustion from bike and swim.

Flat Bike train, running on golf course, straight safe swim in shallow water.

Not as well organized as Set-up races.

Leave at 5:00 AM next time to get there on time.

Good race. sounds like a good beginner course,and you've set a marker to compare future race times with. Running barefoot? It would probably be alright on a golf course.
