Pre-race routine:

Long day at work in all day meetings - fought traffic to get to the traffic.

Event warmup:

Did a three different sets of laps on the infield track which is super rough

Comments:

Right before the race figured out my aero wheel cover was coming loose. So took one side off and left the side under the cassette on - was not going to help or hurt.

Went very hard - came out on the tail of a woman riding very fast, managed to catch her but could never keep up. Had to let her go but keep moving

Hit the wall on lap 6 and had to have a pep talk with myself to get through. It was a good ride - wanted to break 24 minutes and I did

What would you do differently?:

check my aero wheel on the install
not much - went really hard and my HR was right at 157 the entire ride

I was so spent - when I stopped my legs where just shaking hard. I literally left it on the track
