Subject: Tired of misleading headlines

Statue from outer space

 

Sounds pretty wild, right? Except the statue is NOT from outer space. The rock it is carved from is likely from a meteorite. Big difference. I know it's less exciting, and this sort of thing has been going on since the invention of the printing press, but it bugs me.

They should expect a letter from WTC's lawyers:

"This space Buddha, also known as "iron man" to the researchers, is of unknown age, though the best estimates date the statue to sometime between the eighth and 10th centuries."
