Swim
Comments: Felt so much better than the last two swims, I was still slow but I did not panic at all this time. I kept plugging away, I only had to breast stroke about 5% of the entire race. What would you do differently?: Practice higher distance swimming, improve speed, more open water practices Transition 1
Comments: T1 went well, I took my time instead of rushing through which made it a bit easier to slip into shoes and get some water in me Bike
Comments: Didn't feel as good on the bike today. The hills were brutal to me. I think I should of geared down a little instead of trying to attack them. It ultimately wore me out. The energy gel did help tremendously. What would you do differently?: More hill training. New bike :) Transition 2
Comments: Good Transition, made sure I was fully hydrated before starting the run Run
Comments: I don't think I was prepared for all the hills on the run. Just when you thought you were through them another was looming around the bend. I kept a consistent pace though. Only got passed by twice. What would you do differently?: Wear my yankz next time, I had to stop and tie my shoes at one point. D'oh! Post race
Warm down: warm down walk around track at finish line What limited your ability to perform faster: I think I needed more rest Event comments: What a great race, it was very challenging. It was very well put on too! Kudos to the organizers. This one will be on my calender next year for sure. Last updated: 2004-06-23 12:00 AM
