Subject: Kitchener Area Open Water Swimming
I am in the Kitchener Waterloo region and I really need to work on my open water swimming when the weather fully turns. Does anyone know of any spots that can be used and are safe for open water training?

Guelph Lake is very popular and within a half hours drive of Kitchener. They also hold Guelph Lake I and II triathlons there every summer.

Conestoga Lake if you go to the Conestoga Conservation Area has a nice beach to start from, just north of Elmira.

Thats all I use for OWS's locally.
