Pre-race routine:

Woke up, got out of bed, Showered, ate, drank, drove.
Event warmup:

Stretched a bit then ran about 5 minutes with my brother (soretaint) just before the start.

Comments:

Started off at an easy pace and there were several new-to-racing runners who took off like something big and hairy was chasing them. It was...me! :) After about the first mile started to pick up the pace and pick off the folks who started too fast. Pretty small turnout for the race which is in only it's second year so the competition wasn't too stiff but it was a fun run anyway.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Please with my time since I have done exactly zero speed work so far this year.

Water, chat, watch the other runners finish then headed for a bike ride in the afternoon.

Soo.......you were the "big hairy thing" that was scaring everbody at the start!

I hope I run that fast in 11 more years!
