Champion![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() CHR15 TREE - 2009-07-06 9:05 PM Similar to the stage a couple of years back when a Vinokourov led Astana's echelon and hung Moreau out to dry in the hot winds of the Camargue. Oh goodie = are the winds up? If they are it seems a break is really likely! |

Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Morning Super Cat or good evening or good night. Whatever you prefer. Maybe good morning is best, so as to make yourself believe that you won't be up in the middle of the night? I dunno. Remember the windy stage last year where Saxobank tore the peloton apart? That was fun. |

Expert![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() From Cyclingnews: "We already have our first drop out. Quick Step's Jurgen Van De Walle went down in a crash Sunday only 35 km into the race. He managed to finish the race, but was then promptly taken to the hospital, where a punctured lung and a fracture collarbone were diagnosed." So he rode 150 K with a fractured collarbone AND a punctured lung. Hard core!!! Edited by Jens 2009-07-06 6:38 AM |

Champion![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() CHR15 TREE - 2009-07-06 9:49 PM Just for you Cat. 13:33 CEST What do we expect today? An early escape group, most likely allowed to get away with a big lead but caught again in time for the sprinters' teams to set up another mass sprint. And what else? Wind! Lots of it! Will it be enough to have an effect on the stage? We'll see. Thanks Chris... Im reallly hoping for Saxo on the front... lots of wind... and someone from Astana getting caught out... |

Master![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Jens - 2009-07-06 12:36 PM Wouldn't recommend it with a broken jaw & shattered eye socket though! From Cyclingnews: "We already have our first drop out. Saw Cat's link that said he was immediately taken to hospital. I was wondering who had got on his bike & crossed the finish line. On the subject of withdrawals anyone else having trouble with the link for withdrawals on the Le Tour website? Think we need to post the missing riders in the prediction page as some stupid burke (i.e. ME) is going to pick one of them to win a stage. Cat seems to have a great eye for who's missing, any other website posting the poorly? |

I saw the guy on the ground... and the announcement of a collarbone... you are giving me too much credit!

Just seen an interview with Tom about no one disrupting the CHR train when it comes to the finish , making it too easy for Cav. "We need to derail the train". Too right!Wow the break is getting much more time than yesterday! So far... |

Well someone did go off the front last night... and still got reeled back in... As for getting in between the train... hard to do... looked to me like they were getting boxed in a bit for a point there in the lead up yesterday... but didnt last long! |

Master![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So for tomorrow, still pick three riders, yes? Must admit I'm not looking forward to losing a stack of time as I haven't a clue who to choose. Believe the riders don't like it either. No wonder they haven't done it for four? years. |
