And I thought if anyone was going to be gone soon, it would be Rachel. Valentine's Day was the WORST possible release day for this. |

See, that's the angle I don't get. There HAS to be a reason that has yet to be explained for keeping her around. She's the easiest to make disappear: no friends, no contact with her family. Is it because she's Stamper's pet? The one thing he has control over? Why is it the worst day for the release! I think it's brilliant! Edited by Comet 2014-02-14 10:59 AM |

Master 2264 Sunbury, Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: House of Cards Season 2: SPOILERS Stamper's pet. I like that. Why a bad release? Oh man, well, for one, I watch it but my wife doesn't. So there's a whole multi hour potential distraction. But really, our Valentine's Day plan for the evening is to take the kids to see the lego movie. We missed the debut for our Balloon Art convention. If we both watched it, we'd be blocking out all our time this weekend to stare at a screen together, hardly a proper romantic experience. I mean, we're married 20 years this August, so we are over the need for forced V-Day sappiness. And I'm not into rom-coms. Nor is she, she's all about that damn British Abbey. But something about a power couple who use and destroy everyone around them, it's just too far for me if I'd rather be in a happy mood. That's what the lego movie is for. |

I don't know what to say other than, see if you can carve an hour here and there this weekend, and definitely while she's watching Downton on Sunday. My husband doesn't watch it. No, it's not a happy show, but it's excellent, engaging and it makes me happy to binge watch it. That's enough for him! I'm going out of town this weekend, so he'll be happy playing xbox or watching his sci-fi movies tomorrow night when I'm gone. Win-win! |

I assume most people here have real day jobs. I'm in the home office today with kids off school, so that's how I got in episode one. I am dying to do 2 and 3 soon, but I want to focus. |

It will be tough to have an ongoing spoiler thread about HoCs since the entire season is launched in one day. I'm sure there will be someone who watches the entire season in a week.

I'll be finishing tonight. I don't want to post spoilers, but can't wait to talk about it when others finally start... |

I wasn't going to wait until next week! We've all known it was coming out today, don't be jealous you didn't plan ahead like I did! I gave the spouse plenty of warning. Hunt or be hunted! Master 2264 Sunbury, Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: House of Cards Season 2: SPOILERS OK just finished ep3. I wouldn't say this is as good a show as breaking bad, but anytime you can get me to root for the anti-hero even after he has done something horrible and evil, you're doing good storytelling. I enjoyed Underwood's workings in Ep3 too much. I'm still torn on whether Goodwin has indeed found someone like ANONYMOUS or Edward Snowden, or if this is Stamper's "operation." |

Master 2264 Sunbury, Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: House of Cards Season 2: SPOILERS OK Comet, did you finish the season? I have three to go. (Maybe four, can't recall exactly.) - at this point. Have a wild theory that Meechum will turn out to be some mole, but that would make me really mad as it would be out of left field. But so much is made of his loyalty. Everyone else's motvies are shown from all sides, so I may be crazy. Can't wait to see what happens with the hacker and Stamper. Stamper has issues. |

Yep, I finished. What I love about this season is CLAIRE. She's proven to be just as calculating and cold. I love how SHE, with one small comment about Christina, started the chain reaction of crumpling the Presidents marriage and chaos... |

That's the problem when you binge watch! But I do remember it was fantastic!!!! I'll rewatch it again before season 3 comes out! Yep x2 on all these points. I think Ep. 11 was my fav. What a twist with Meechum. (sp?) |

I think what was really crazy was how they *groomed* Meachum. Frank first denied his request for "leniency" after he fired his service weapon... then went to his supervisor and made the request anyway. THEN made sure he got assigned to the SS detail. Continued to build confidences, etc. Talk about cold and calculating. |
