Hey guys, I haven't talked to everyone in awhile, I hope training going well and injury free!

I would like to get a 100KM ride in this Saturday or Sunday, anyone game? I'm sure we could plan out a nice trip through Essex County and make a stop for some espresso or coffee somewhere
I'd also like to do a 2k swim, maybe Thursday?
LMK
Cheers,
Matt

Hey Matt, good to hear from you. I was wondering how you were doing. Did you do Firecracker?

I would join you for about 3 hours on the weekend bike.  What did you have in mind for a swim?

Jeff, Stef and me have been trying to get together for a bike and a chat about our upcoming races. Are you interested?

No I didn't do firecracker, I did however goto Michigan last weekend for some hill training.
If Jeff and Stef are good for a long ride this weekend, we'll find a central meeting point and map something out from there (401 and belle river road?).

As for the swim, how about ceder beach toward Kingsville. Out and back style swim

Hey Matt,

Not sure what time you planned on doing the bike but if it works for my weekend plans I might be up for a long ride.

Keep me posted.  As of right now my weekend is clear.

As for the swim and ride, do you guys want to do a BIG brick 2K swim followed up by a 90K ride? it would be good training for steelhead

I am planning on swimming both Thurs and Fri, out of Belle River if anyone is interested. Also, if anyone is looking for a long ride on Sat, the "Hell of a Ride" is going on in Hell Michigan. All different lengths of rides, from 15 miles to 100 miles. Quite a few East Side Riders are heading out from St. Clair Beach at 7:00am to head over. Great social ride, and get some miles in!!

Alright guys

SUNDAY JULY 12th @ 10 AM
2k OWS and 90K ride
Routes are as follows (open to suggestions and I'll drive theses roads tonight to ensure they aren't gravel... ahhaha)
Weather looks to be sunny and high of 72 and a western wind a 12 mph

BIKE: Start out on some back roads eventually ending up in Amherstburg where we can get some coffee or whatever. Then a nice ride along the lake. The second half of the ride has some rolling hills and low amounts of traffic.

SWIM: A super exciting out and back swim

I have a virus this week and have no energy. I'll be there for part of the swim/bike but I'm not sure how much. I might just do the bike if the coliform counts that are posted on Friday are high.

The bike route looks good to me.

K!  As of right now - I'm in for the bike.  I think I'm going to bail on the swim just because of the time it takes to get there and how early I'll have to get up...

I'm doing an hour water-jog today and hopefully some speedwork on the bike later - so I'll just plan to swim later tomorrow.

I'll post tomorrow morning if I'm not headed down.  If the weather is iffy I'll pass...

If you joining for just the ride, Id say we'd be done swimming at 11.
So 10 if your swimming and biking or 11 if your biking

c-ya tomorrow
