Under $500.  All will be spent on nieces, nephews and needy families.  My wife and I adopt about 4-5 children each year to buy gifts for.  We don't buy each other anything but usually take a weekend trip to Chicago near the holiday as a gift to one another.

I didn't want the "Hold it until you explode" skewing my results. I'm using the results as support to get wifey to spend less money this year...

Does it still count if it's on yourself. Actually I will spend under $1000 easily.

Then you have to put in a $0 option, to show her how much I am spending.

My wifey doesn't work, so I don't think there is a "hers"...

Lara - 2005-11-30 2:31 PM i make more $ than my husband..  of course there is a HERS

I make the same as my husband, and as I  made perfectly clear over a decade ago:  After the financial obligations that we have both agreed upon are met, I'll take MY leftover money and SET IT ON FIRE, if that is my preference.  I think he took that to mean, his opinion of how it should be spent is not welcome.

She has the "hers" alright, and we have the "ours,"

I'm somehow missing the "mine" split.

yeah..  sadly frequently the HERS portion becomes HIS our OURS..  i opened my lunch box this afternoon to find one egg roll and a peice of bread (he makes my lunches)..  i thought forget this..  i'm getting a burrito..  then i realized he took all my cash yesterday and I'm too lazy to drive 3 miles to the nearest ATM..  so here i sit..  with one lonley egg roll and a peice of plain wheat bread..

I just laughed right out loud at that one.  You poor dear. What the hell did he think you would do with the plain bread?  Egg roll sandwich?

last night we had teriyaki chicken for dinner..  my guess is he has a little tupperware of chicken i'm supposed to put on the bread for a sandwich..  somehow my lunch got packed sans the chicken..  and there isn't anything for the egg roll..  no mustard.. or soy sauce..  or sweet and sour sauce..  just dry egg roll and a dry peice of bread..  today was sooooooooo going to be burrito day..

Have you been putting on the pounds, getting a little porky around the middle? Sounds like you're on the eggroll sandwich diet (ESD).
