Pro 9391 Omaha, NE | Subject: Why Trump is winning more than anyone ever imagined Lets go back in time a little bit and listen to one of the greatest campaign speeches ever recorded. This speech was from an extremely vocal Trump hater, but he understood why people were going to vote for Trump. After this speech clip he went on to talk about how Trump wouldn't do all the things he promised, because that's what many expected to happen (admittedly I even did a little). However, Trump has either done or attempted to do absolutely everything he promised to do on his campaign and is doing exactly what everyone who voted for him wanted him to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=276&v=wxDRqeuLNag

Pro 15655 | Subject: RE: Why Trump is winning more than anyone ever imagined I was sitting pretty good after saving for 30 years and investing well......but I'm almost ashamed to tell people how much I've made in the last 18 months. Even though it's running pretty flat so far this year (I've only gained $23,400 since 6/30/18 ), the Nasdaq is still at 25% gains over the last 12 months. I got cold feet here and there and pulled some money back.....but it really didn't matter much. If you don't have money in this market you're just insane. If you're not working you're just lazy. With the economy hitting 4.5% growth and even Buffet opening up to allow buybacks in his company.....tell me the bull market is over. LOL China is almost to the point where they will call uncle.....trade war my arse.....they can't afford a trade war..... neither can anyone else who is running their mouths. (canadian prime minister what's his name) It's about damn time we had a leader willing to swing our big stick. I've never voted for a President, and neither have any of you, who worked to do EVERY SINGLE THING he campaigned on. You might not like him and I get it.....but you have to respect that. It's virtually unheard of from any "politician". I care not a single bit about the noise from the left (other than the good comedy factor).....it doesn't appear our President does either. The link you posted is just a bunch of whining and crying on election night. LOL ETA - nevermind.....it's there. I don't know how I got Rachael Maddow blowing snot bubbles. Looks like I may have accidentally grabbed a time stamped link that starts the video towards the end. I should be more aggressive. I've made a lot in the last 18 months but I'm still 50% on the sidelines. I'm too close to retiring to be all in. A nuke could go off today and the market can drop 20% in a day. I still remember the horror of 2008 when I lost tens of thousands a day....saw my retirement disappearing like a fart in the wind. I'm comfortable with where I am at. Still making a lot but not compared to you. I think I'm at 4.3% for the year.....and considering 1/2 of my savings is making almost nothing, I'm good. If we can continue making at this rate I'll be at 8.6% for the year and very pleased. |

You can sit around gnashing your teeth and whining.....you can even go out and spend your time protesting. OR....you can take advantage of the greatest economic climate in the last 35 years and set yourself and your family up well for your future. Who's losing??

Investor grade munis from red states, never blue states unless you research the area closely. And absolutely no to Puerto Rico! Returns are only in the 4% range right now, but it's an income tax free 4%. If you have half your retirement parked in a money market doing nothing, I think you can generate a little safe cash flow for your family with munis. I have a guy in Houston we use that deals almost exclusively in munis; he's kind of an arrogant pricklypear, but a solid performer. I can PM you his contact info if you're interested or maybe you can find someone locally if you're more comfortable working with someone in person. If you aren't familiar with them, they generate a coupon or payment every 6 months, for each bond issue you own. Buying into several different issues, can stagger those checks to where you're getting a dividend every month, sent directly to you or they can put it into an account of your choosing. The arguments against supporting Trump are always superficial. He has a comb over, he can't talk, he says dumb stuff, he's a racist, he's a sexist, he's a homophobe, blah blah but they're all absolutely shallow and fake and anyone who isn't a raging liberal sees that. |

Unfortunately my money is in a 401k and I cannot withdrawal without a penalty till I'm 59 or maybe 59.5. The money is in a guaranteed fund but still makes little. I will talk to my broker (college buddy of mine) about munis. Might move some of my wife's 401k. |

Isn't it about time for us to stand up and demand that these avowed socialists run under the socialist party ticket? Or make the DNC change their name to Socialist party? They're getting the best of both worlds. It's time we make them run as socialists, independent, democrat or Republican. The DNC is benefitting as the umbrella that all things not Republican can hide under. |
