try to find someone else to get out and train with...  whenever i'm dragging and not feeling it...  it always helps to have someone to hook up with to go for a run or bike...

if you need some to run with let me know...

good luck...!!!

Trying training in a different location or at a different time of day.  Mix up your workouts so you are not always doing the same thing.  For me with running it has really helped to do the hill and speed workouts to keep things fresh.  Same with swimming - have a distance day  and a sprint day.

Everything that everyone said. Also, I didn't look to see if you have races coming up. But it really is normal to have some "off season" time where you just kick back and relax a bit - shorter distances, less intensity, work on form and such....

actually...  what djdavey failed to mention...  is that when he's feeling down...  nothing cheers him up like going out and buying a pretty new running skirt...  its quite the scene... watching the renewed bounce in his step as he's bounding up the hill...  doing his hill repeats...  while sporting his latest fashion...

i believe that this was his latest purchase i had seen him in...  stunning i must say...!!!

ok we might not be able to call you new guy much longer if you have burnout lately...you took the weekend off, which really helps. You have LG coming up, 2 1/2 weeks away. Do a nice taper...short intense stuff, nothing more than 30  min at a crack next week. (I can't remember if you are doing the half or the Oly). Either way, better to come in well rested than overtrained.

I don't think we have to worry about seeing your hairy legs DJ.  I figure this skirt probably goes down to mid shin on you?

I spend more time with the people I ignore when I train, starting with my husband and then my best friend.  I also do the stuff I like to do, but never have time to do like go hiking, go to a movie and read.  Pretty basic stuff for me.
