Subject: Felt F80
Has anyone ever owned one of these bikes, and if so did they like it? How does it compare to bikes of equal value?

I can't help you with your question but I've been looking at the F75 just recently and that particular model appears to be quite well priced compared to bikes of a similar level.

I own an F65 (few years old now), and love it.  Just a great bike for the price.  Can't help you on the 80, but a friend of a friend rides and  F85 and loves it too.  Felt makes pretty good bikes.
