Subject: RE: Ezekial breadI am not sure about the other bread that you are eating, but it is possible that you are responding to the REAL whole wheat/or whole grain--as in a "food sensitivity". Sometimes people who are experiencing this (as opposed to a full blown allergic reaction ) will do so with whole wheat grain vs. a more processed version. Another question that seems obvious but not always so, are you chewing really well? Ezekial bread has some pieces in it, and one needs to chew food really well in order to release and suspend the enzymes in the food itself that helps in the digestion process. I love this bread toasted too with tahini on it, and add tomatoes even better. But I honestly can not eat much gluten as I tend to get stomach issues (and asthma inflammation ) if I eat too much.... a little every couple of days and I am AOK. Try laying off all wheat & gluten (oats/rye/wheat/barley ) for 5 days or so, and then try one slice of the bread again and see if you tolerate it better. This is a "mini food elimination" test. |
