Subject: pool time....
I just got done doing my 66th day of the Couch-to-Sprint training program.  I broke down the other day and bought a cheap waterproof watch to time my laps.  I ended up swimming the 200 warm-up and 4- 50s with 15 sec rest in between.  I then timed and swam a 500 with an average of 1 min 55 sec per 100 yds.  How am I doing?  I know most people will tell me to just have fun, but will I be FOP, MOP, or BOP?  I just want to see how i compare to other first timers.

I think 500yds at 1:55 pace is good. You'll likely be MoP, but you'll pass a ton of folks.

it all depends on your competition but with 1:55min / 100 yards you will be at the front of the back or the back of the middle.

Also it will depend where you start yourself, if you know you will be comfortable in the front of the back third group than enter the water slowly and just give yourself a few courage points for everyone you pass

Regardless, still have fun.
