Subject: First tri in 2 days and I'm exhaustedMy first tri is in 2 days and I am completely exhausted today. I tried to go easy this week although looking back at my log I see that I didn't really do that earlier in the week. I took Wed. off, did 15. min. bike and 15 min. run yesterday, and took today off completely. I was exhausted last night and I feel just as exhausted today. I'm more exhausted than I've ever been in my weeks of training for this. I know most people don't need to taper for sprints, especially super sprints, but since I'm a tri noob with sensitive joints I figured I should taper a bit. I want to do well at this sprint. I'm excited, I think it will be fun, and I may even have a chance of placing in my age group. What should I do between now and then...lots and lots of sleep? |
