What a terrible story. The jerk tries to leave the scene and a witness chases him--good for her. The cyclist died of head injuries, but I've been unable to find a news source that indicates if he was wearing a helmet.

The pics I've seen of the bike shows flipped drop bars that might indicate a casual rider and I'm guessing he may not have properly equipped for night riding. Pure conjecture on my part, and not excusing the drunk who was totally at fault, just wondering if the right safety equipment might have made all the difference. RIP.

Because if it does, Bobbi Curtis should get one.  And not, we should invent it, just to give it to her.  Wow.

So sad about the cyclist though.
