Subject: Hi there newbie from Davis, CA
found this site couple of days ago. I just started my post doc at UC Davis. Have gotten completely out of shape while finishing my PhD thesis plus the upstate NY winters did not help much either. Am getting my wife interested too though she is more inot just running. Hope one day I will be able to do a race

You'll be able to do a race before you know it--sounds like you've got a more conducive training environment now.

im from woodland but just recently moved to natomas, i too am a noobie and going to attempt my first tri at the end of this month. the sac invitational.
