Can't see other members racing an event

I just added a race to my log and according to the race listing in my log, there are four members planning to race it. When I click on "Race Link" though, no one is listed on the page that comes up. This happened to me for another event as well. The race link in my log told me 7 people were planning to participate, but when I clicked on the race link, no one was listed. Have the settings for this changed?

Also, there are two listings for the event: Denver 1/2 marathon (in which the run segment is listed as 0) and Denver half marathon (the one I signed up for). If these are the same event, is there a way to get them merged? The same thing happened with Escape from Alcatraz a few years ago and you were able to merge them into one event so all the race reports for the event appeared in the same place.
