Hey folks,
I've been uploading my data from my forerunner 305 for the last couple of months, directly over the garmin communicator plugin.  Works like a charm.

I upgraded to a 310xt this week and tried to upload my first workout taken with that device.  The BT training log popup can "find" the device.  When I hit the "upload data" button, it does shows the status bar which never moves off of 0%.  I've let it wait as long as 5 minutes.

I do see an error message on the lower left of IE.

That's failing in Garmin Communicator before it gets to the BT part.  The location described in the error file shows that it's failing when attempting to finish reading the data from the device. The plug-in is definitely up to date, but as it's a new install the first thing that comes to mind is that something went wrong with the installation or that there was a problem with something in your browser cache.

This isn't what you want to hear, but I recommend uninstalling the plug-in (close IE and any other browsers first), then reboot and reinstall the plug-in.

Sorry I can't be more specific but if the problem happens in the Communicator code before the data gets handed off to us, there isn't much we can do about it.
