Swimming in Lakeside

This is my first spring of doing OWS.  I live in Lucan (15 mins north of London), so I've been trying to find the best place for me to swim.  I tried Whittaker, which was pretty good, but a bit of a drive.  Wildwood was ok, but there was a TON of boating traffic.  I did Lakeside last week, and found that to be a great place!  Water was warm, and there was no one out there!  I think I've found my OWS home for now!

A question for those who swim at Lakeside.  Do you pay the $4 park fee at the campground and swim from their beach?  Is it worthwhile getting an annual pass there?
