Comments: Second in my heat. Winner finished in 7:46. What would you do differently?: Maybe go a little harder. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: I ate another Goo (bad idea) had cottonmouth for about 1/2 the ride. Get some aerobars prior to next race. Bike
Comments: Got passed by two people in the first mile so dropped to third in my heat. What would you do differently?: Try to go a little harder. Transition 2
Comments: Guessing on splits due to they were included in the run time. It felt really quick. No problem with socks or shoes. Run
Comments: Stayed in current position with in my heat. What would you do differently?: Throw some water over my head on the way out of the transition area. Do some track work prior to next race. Post race
Warm down: Average HR for the bike/run 161. Maxhr 166. Calories spent-939 (not including the swim). What limited your ability to perform faster: Training at higher intensities. This was the my first TRI of the season. Do more interval training and weight training! Event comments: Took 6+ minutes off last years time. Got beat by a 38 year old Navy SEAL. Age Group Rank = 0/
All time splits will be published by tomorrow. I am thinking i got 5th over all and I placed 2nd in my age group.
Five minute run then about five minutes of stretching. Ate a Goo 10 minutes before the start of the swim.
