Mississippi Track Club Half Marathon - Run

Comments: Not much to comment on here except that the lack of training in the past two weeks really made it hard for me to keep a good pace most of the race. Things went pretty well up until mile 12 when my legs really started to hurt. It took everything I had left to keep running but I figured that to walk during the last two miles would be silly since I'd run the whole way so far. What would you do differently?: Continue training all the way up until the race. Carry my own fluids. Post race
Warm down: bend over and moan... also ate a banana and two peices of cheese pizza. What limited your ability to perform faster: the extra 30 lbs I'm STILL carrying. Event comments: My goal for this race when I started training was to increase my distance and overall improve my run for the next tri season. Considering that this road race was longer than my entire first tri last may.. I'd consider my goal acheived. now back to the pool.. oh.. and now I hate running :) Last updated: 2005-11-01 12:00 AM

Ate Clif Bar and some Gatorade, drove to the race site and registered and tried to stay warm.
Not much ... ran maybe for 2 or 3 minutes and some really light stretching.
