Comments:

It was a cold day and it was a tough run. Slightly hilly which I did not train for and the loose gravel at some spots was tough
What would you do differently?:

Train on hills. Start the run with a gel pack.

Comments:

clipping my helmet was tough with gloves on. It took too long to do.
What would you do differently?:

Practice clipping my helmet on with gloves on.

Comments:

Not prepared for the hills at all. All my training was on flat road.

Post race
Warm down:

Very tight hamstrings and I was cold the entire time.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I was not prepared for the cold weather. Dressed to lightly and was cold really cold the entire ride. Took no gel packs which affected my performance at the end of the ride which was all up hill. I need to train both running and biking on hills to perform better on this type of course.

Event comments:

It was cold...did I say that it was cold. Great race and a good challenging course. I just need to be better prepared for hills!!!
