Comments: 1st mile too fast---Splits: 6:14, 6:56, 7:03 What would you do differently?: Not be sick and get some sleep. Not worry about the weigh-in so much. Post race Warm down: Almost keeled over and passed out. Coughing up junk for 10-15 minutes afterwards. Walked for awhile and reclined in the car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Illness. Event comments: Good atmosphere as Arnold started the race for us, he was late but he was there! Do not get there so early for the pump part of the event. Next year be ready to rock and roll on the bench! Nice effort considering I had been sick most of the week. Last updated: 2005-12-24 12:00 AM |

Pump (Bench at 7:30 a.m.) Check-in at 7:15 a.m. Sip of coffee before the pump. Banana after the race, stretch, wait, drink water before the 5K. 3 hour wait between the pump and run. Minimal sleep the night before.
Did some push-ups before the pump. Ran on High Street and near Exhibit Hall F, probably 1/2 mile to 3/4 mile.
