Subject: Experts on HR/LT chime in and make sense of my numbers Ran a 10 mile race today and I am trying to use these numbers for HR/LT to further my training and establish zones instead of the guesswork of the 220 minus age. I am 37 years old and here are my race numbers.....
Mile 1 - 8:22 pace/ Avg. HR 170/ Max HR 178
Mile 2 - 8:40 pace/ Avg. HR 176/ Max HR 179
Mile 3 - 8:58 pace/ Avg. HR 178/ Max HR 180
Mile 4 - 8:50 pace/ Avg. HR 178/ Max HR 181
Mile 5 - 9:11 pace/ Avg. HR 176/ Max HR 179
Mile 6 - 9:10 pace/ Avg. HR 179/ Max HR 182
Mile 7 - 8:48 pace/ Avg. HR 179/ Max HR 181
Mile 8 - 8:52 pace/ Avg. HR 182/ Max HR 183
Mile 9 - 8:57 pace/ Avg. HR 183/ Max HR 185
Mile 10 - 9:00 pace/ Avg. HR 185/ Max HR 189
What would I use for Max HR and LT values for training?
By the way, I set a PB even though all this week leading up to the race I was under the weather.
