Comments:

Frist run after two and a half months of hip injury. Felt a little weak but good.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Probably dehydration on the bike and I also probably came into the race overtrained on the bike.

Event comments:

The big things that drops this race are the run course marking, which was sketchy in the beginning and almost totally gone when the back of the packers came through. Several people got lost and the race officials didn't seem to care. The post race activities ere a disappointment. This was a very hard Olympic distnace race in a hot dry climate and there was little food and no sports drink, just warm water and not enough of that. Many people just left, the rest of us fended for ourselves.

It's too bad, the trophies were beautiful hand made Navajo vases and the course itself was beautiful. Despite the poor operation this year I will still consider doing it again next year.

Congratulations on your race and hardware too!  Too bad the race organization wasn't better.  Still sounds like fun!
