Subject: Windows 8 and Garmin Communicator

Hello!

First, thanks for ALL you do here!

Just got a new Windows 8 computer and am trying to get my Garmin to talk to my training logs. Got ANT Agent installed and was able to upload data to Garmin Connect, but when I try to u/l data here I get a message that Garmin Communicator is not installed. I've gone through the installation process a few times now, but still no communication. Am I SOL trying to import Garmin data with Windows 8?

Did a quick search but didn't see this topic anywhere...

Update: OK, I got things to work by using IE from the Deskop view rather than the Windows 8 view (different browser versions?). Not sure what the difference is/was, but not only did it work but the u/l was crazy fast. Awesome. Happy.

Hi Kyla,

Yes, those are different versions. The desktop version works fine, except when you try to upload a course to your garmin device. Although you get the message the course is sent to your device, nothing will actually happen. For uploading courses I use Firefox.
