Subject: Look 586 Pro Team edition - Beginner triathlete
hi guys,

need ur advice on the Look 586 Pro Team edition road bike with the following specs:

Carbon monocoque Frame
Durace mechanical group + fulcrum RS Carbon Crank
Cockpit Ritchey (C260+WCS Logic)
Saddle Prologo tri 40 nack (carbon rail)
Wheel AMC sprint 350

i am a crossfit athlete who has slowly started showing interest in triathlons and have done 3 so far - all olympic distances and one half-ironman.

Its time i buy a new bike. hows the Look 586 to start with? i am not a pro for sure so will this bike be an intelligent buy?

That's a really nice bike, if it fits you.

That's a really nice bike! I have a 586 for a few years (still have a 595), Look does have really nice ride quality and it's really comfortable. If it fits you, it's a great bike. Just keep in mind the seat tube is cut to length, and although you do have adjustment up (as long as it comes with all the spacers), it is limited.

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.

Club or group workouts are very motivating and soon you’ll start feeling like a triathlete, making you less likely to flake out.
