Subject: 01.31.2020 Fantastic Friday! Since I am still in "Pre-Season" training my bike rides have not been overly long and so I have been moving my long runs from a week-day to the weekend and have been doing my long ride during the week. So I should be doing my long run tomorrow, but the forecast is for 30 deg F tomorrow and it was a roasty 36 deg F this morning so I opted to run in the dark this morning over running outdoors in the cold tomorrow. I got in a 10-mile run this morning. That is down from the 12 miles long runs I have done the past three weeks but was what I needed this week. I am still working on perfecting the 8:00 min/mi paces so I did - 2-miles @ 8:00 min/mi pace - 2-miles @ 6:45 min/mile pace - 2-miles @ 8:00 min/mi pace - 2-miles @ 6:45 min/mile pace 2-miles @ 8:00 min/mi pace, I naild the last two miles right on 8:00 min/mile. Practise makes perfect. :-) |
