Route tracker issue, Edit slow load and distance showing x2

OK, here's one for you guys.

Today I noticed that it is pretty slow (painfully at times) for my routes to load when I want to do an edit.  I went to edit an 8 mile run route that I partially I ran this AM, and after the ~30 sec wait for it to load I noticed that the overall distance on the left is exactly double what it should be, it this why its taking so long to load???   If I just click on the route to fore-go editing, it shows the distance correctly and loads in a zip.

UPDATE, I edited the above run which was 8 miles and saved it.  When it saved it did not change the distance to the correct amount, it is now showing 18.15 miles but when I put the cursor on the last marker it shows 10.15 miles.  If I selected edit on the revised route it shows the distance as 28.30 miles. 

OK, and another question.  I often will run the my routes in reverse to break up the monotony and depending on how I feel I may change the ending.  Would it ever be possible to have and invert tool so that the route end (what was the beginning) can be edited?  Or maybe the ability to edit a route from the end or beginning!  Just an idea...

UPDATE, how about a "save as new" function for instead of just saving the edited routes?  I would like to have kept the 8 mile route and added the 10 miler as a new one.
